Mystery Plant Competition Results

Over 150 of you eager green-thumbs filled out a 2025 Mystery Plant Competition answer card. The competition had been on hiatus for several years, as the advent of plant identification apps took the competition out of a simple identification approach. To adapt, and bring this crowd-pleasing feature of the Georgian Bay Garden Tour back, we had to get inventive and approach it differently with more complicated questions, including many with difficult to google answers. Thanks so much for making the revised competition a major success!

Grand Prize Winner, Kathy Sutton, was the only entrant to score an 80% grade. Congratulations! Kathy won a $150 plant collection from Falling Apple Tapestry and a family pass to Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre.

Two Lucky Draw Winners won $35 in plant material and a Wye Marsh family pass. Congrats Rob Young & Diane Greenfield (presented by FATAP's Wade Fornwald)

There were eight entrants tied for second place, so a hat-pull was required. Our Runner-Up Winners, Michelle Hussey, and Hailey Beausoleil, took home $50 in plant material and a Wye Marsh family pass.
